The Concept: Hilltop retreat

Aesop is a unique hillside Paros villa that enjoys 360° views over the Aegean Sea and of more than 10 other Cycladic islands. Aesop is only 5km from the main town of the island, Parikia, and just a short drive from the gorgeous Agia Irini Beach.

Outdoors

The raised dome-shaped pergola offers a cozy dining table with concert-hall acoustics, and in the front garden area, there’s a traditional baking oven for alfresco cooking. The gardens also include a boules game strip and indigenous plants for cool shade. The pool terrace is surrounded on three sides by the semi-circular infinity pool, which is fed with fresh water through a small gently trickling river. This is a truly splendid outside space, where you’ll feel as if you are in the clouds with just the sea and sky in sight.

Indoors 

Architectural touches that play with the light flood into the villa from the large glass window doors, and the round living space has full sea and pool views. An abundance of sofas and chairs make living easy and a dining area along with a large open-plan raised kitchen caters to your culinary needs. Off this room, you’ll find an enclave open plan master bedroom with sea and garden views, while 3 other bright and airy bedrooms with fresh cool fabrics and panoramic views are on the other levels. A truly unique architectural villa on the magical island of Paros.

Good to know

Only 1km walk away, amidst the hills, you will find Saint Arsenios, a stunning church perched in the hills with lovely views of the whole island, as well as the Valley of the Butterflies, a nature reserve worth exploring.
